Kentucky WBB falls in AP Poll following SEC Tournament

After taking a four-point loss to then No. 10 Oklahoma in the SEC Tournament, Kentucky slid in this week’s AP Poll.

In Week 19’s release, Kentucky came in at No. 13, falling one spot from last week. The Sooners actually fell to No. 11, and there are eight total teams from the SEC that are ranked this week. Five of those teams are in the Top 13. The Cats sit at 22-7 overall after losing their last two games.

Despite the recent losses, Kentucky actually moved up to No. 18 in the NET Rankings.

Now, the Cats will be tuned into the Selection Sunday show on March 16th at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN to see where and who they’ll be playing to open the NCAA Tournament. Odds are that Kentucky will be a low 3-seed or high to mid 4-seed, meaning that the first two rounds would be played in Historic Memorial Coliseum. The first round is on March 21-22, so that’ll be the next time Kentucky suits up.
