Will you be in Lexington late next week? If so, you'll have a chance to meet Kyra Elzy.

On Thursday, July 27 at Tandy Park in downtown Lexington, the Kentucky women's basketball head coach is hosting a meet and greet during Thursday Night Live from 5-8 p.m. EST. Elzy will be there to talk with members of the Big Blue Nation, take pictures, and sign autographs, so make sure you bring something for her to jot down her signature.

Elzy is about to enter her fourth season in charge of Kentucky women's basketball. She has a combined record of 49-40 (19-28 SEC) and led the Wildcats to its first SEC Tournament championship in 40 years in 2022. If you have yet to meet the Oldham County native, there's no better opportunity to do so than this one.

This isn't the only way you can meet the head coach this summer though. On Saturday, August 5, Elzy and her foundation, On The 5, will host the second annual Kyra Elzy Give Back Camp at Tates Creek High School in Lexington. The camp will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until late in the afternoon. This camp is for girls entering grades 6th, 7th, and 8th in the Fayette County area.

Coach Elzy’s Give Back Camp is different from other basketball camps because it includes sessions that teach girls life skills. Life skills through sports are at the heart of The Kyra Elzy Foundation, which aims to encourage success academically, athletically, and in service to the community. Along with Elzy, members of the 2023-24 Kentucky WBB roster and coaching staff will also be there to answer questions, take pictures, and sign autographs.

Registration is free and you can sign up through the link here. Lunch will be provided, as well.
