Kentucky WBB hires Jodi Ansert as new recruiting assistant
Kyra Elzy has added a new member to her staff ahead of the 2023-24 season.
On Wednesday morning, Kentucky women’s basketball announced the hiring of Jodi Ansert as the program’s new recruiting assistant. The Louisville, KY native is a former University of Pikeville assistant women’s basketball coach, where she served under head coach Clifton Williams during the 2019-20 season.
“Jodi’s eye for detail, organization and passion for the Wildcats will be a great asset to our program,” Elzy said in UK’s press release. “She is an efficient worker, a good communicator and has a clear understanding and vision for the landscape of college women’s basketball. Jodi is already very familiar with our program, which will help us continue to be successful in recruiting.”

At Kentucky, Ansert will work with the coaching staff in all areas of the recruiting process, including coordinating on-campus visits. She spent the last two years working as a human resource specialist at Baptist Health in Louisville.
Prior to her time at Pikeville, Ansert was a student assistant at Georgetown College for two seasons, where she graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration and communication. She was the program’s women’s basketball manager during that time and even volunteered at a handful of Kentucky women’s basketball camps.
