Coming off a bye week, Kentucky women’s basketball has finally jumped into the Top 10 of the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

Kentucky has not played in eight days since beating a ranked Oklahoma team 95-86 last Sunday, Feb. 2. It was the second of two ranked wins for the Wildcats that week, however, UK only rose one spot to No. 11 in the AP Poll Top 25. But after not playing a single game last week, the ‘Cats managed to jump three spots to No. 8 in the country in the Week 15 rankings update.

The voters were a week behind, but UK is finally among the nation’s 10 best. It marks the program’s first Top 10 ranking in over four years (Jan. 2021) and the highest overall ranking since the 2015-16 season.

Kenny Brooks‘ team will finally return to action tonight though. Kentucky is in Oxford for a matchup with Ole Miss (15-7; 6-4 SEC). Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPN2.
