Kentucky WBB moves up to No. 15 in AP Poll following 2-0 SEC start
After spending the last month ranked No. 16 in the country, Kentucky women’s basketball is finally moving up.
The Wildcats were bumped up one spot to No. 15 in the latest AP Poll Top 25, which was released on Monday afternoon. Kentucky finished last week with a 2-0 record to open up SEC play, which featured blowout wins against Mississippi State at home (91-69) and Vanderbilt on the road (96-78). UK is now 13-1 on the season, the program’s best start since beginning the 2018-19 campaign with a 14-1 mark.
Kentucky, which also jumped up four spots in the NET from No. 27 to No. 23, is one of seven SEC teams in this week’s updated AP Top 25, while four additional SEC schools are in the receiving votes category.
