As Kenny Brooks continues to lay the foundation for his future at Kentucky, the offers for the women’s basketball program continue to roll in.

One of those offers was to Maddyn Greenway, a four-star guard who also happens to be the No. 17 prospect in the nation, per ESPN. Greenway announced that Kenny Brooks and Kentucky had offered her on Instagram. She had an offer from Brooks when he was at Virginia Tech as well.

Greenway, a 5-foot-8 guard, has offers from a number of power schools. Iowa, UCLA, Tennessee, and Minnesota (her home-state team) are just some of the programs on her radar. Greenway is the highest-rated prospect from the state of Minnesota in the 2026 class.

Her father, Chad Greenway, played in the NFL on the Minnesota Vikings from 2006 to 2016 as a linebacker following a collegiate career at Iowa. He was a first-round draft pick and a two-time Pro Bowler as well — there’s a lot of athleticism in those genes.

As for Maddyn, she started playing varsity basketball at Providence Academy (MN) when she was just in 7th grade — averaging 21.0 points per game.

Additionally, it took her just 46 games to surpass 1,000 career points, and all of that was before she was actually a high schooler. Back in February, she scored her 3,000th career point, dropping 44 points on the night. This past season, Greenway put up 34 points, 8.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 4.5 steals per game.

It’s still very early in the process for Greenway, but she has already shown a great deal of potential at just 17 years old. Maybe Brooks’ will start off his 2026 class with a bang.
