The Kentucky women’s basketball schedule for the 2023-24 season is nearing completion.

After the SEC released Kentucky’s conference opponents on Wednesday, the program announced its nonconference slate a day later on Thursday. In what is being celebrated as Kentucky WBB’s 50th anniversary season, this year’s nonconference schedule includes 14 games in total, nine coming at home, three taking place in the U.S Virgin Islands as part of the Paradise Jam in late November, and two on the road.

With the Wildcats’ usual home venue, Memorial Coliseum, undergoing renovations throughout the upcoming season, Kentucky will host games at either Rupp Arena in downtown Lexington or at the Clive M. Beck Center on Transylvania’s campus. The location for each home game will be announced at a later date.

The notable matchups on the nonconference schedule include back-to-back Power 5 matchups in early December against Minnesota (for the second straight season) at home on Dec. 6 and in-state rival Louisville on the road on Dec. 10. Kentucky will also face a trio of big-name opponents (NC State, Colorado, and Cincinnati) in the Virgin Islands and is set to host Boston College — the first-ever meeting between these two programs — on Nov. 30 as part of the SEC/ACC Challenge.

The remaining nonconference games will come against non-Power 5 opponents, including a road matchup against Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 19. Kentucky will play just one exhibition contest prior to the start of the regular season, which will come at home against Kentucky State on Nov. 1 and is free admission. The regular season officially tips off against ETSU on Nov. 7 in Lexington.

The final nonconference game for UK comes against Samford on New Year’s Eve, leading the Wildcats straight into an SEC schedule of 16 contests — eight at home and eight on the road. TV assignments and tip times for all games will be released at a later date.
