Kentucky WBB rises one spot to No. 11 in Week 12 AP Poll
It was just a one-game week for the Kentucky women’s basketball program, but that lone win was enough to move the Wildcats up in the polls.
In the Associated Press’ Week 12 Top 25 rankings update, Kentucky (16-1) moved up one spot from No. 12 to No. 11 in the country. The Wildcats went on the road Sunday to face the Georgia Bulldogs, cruising to a smooth 78-64 victory, extending the team’s perfect SEC record to 5-0. UK is one of three schools still undefeated in conference play: South Carolina (6-0) and LSU (5-0).
Looking at the NET rankings, Kentucky actually fell one spot from No. 17 to No. 18. Only two Quad 1 opportunities thus far (1-1) have hurt the Wildcats in the NET, but that will quickly change with several Quad 1 games coming up on the schedule. UK is 4-0 in Quad 2, 3-0 in Quad 3, and 8-0 in Quad 4 contests.

Kentucky is one of seven SEC schools ranked among the Top 25, but they have still yet to play the other six. The rest of the conference schedule is about to get rough.
