Kentucky WBB vs. Mississippi State officially rescheduled for Jan. 13

Kentucky Women’s Basketball (7-3) has seen three of its last four possible games hit with postponements, but at least one of them has already been rescheduled.
On Tuesday afternoon, UK Athletics announced that Kentucky’s previously scheduled home game for Jan. 3 against the Mississippi State Bulldogs (9-4) has been moved to Jan. 13. The game will be streamed live on the SEC Network+ and previously purchased tickets will still be valid.
Kentucky has not played a game since beating South Carolina-Upstate 67-44 all the way back on Dec. 19. By the time UK hosts No. 15 Georgia on Thursday, it’ll have been 18 days in between games.

The ‘Cats were supposed to play Morgan State on Dec. 17 before COVID-19 problems within the Lady Bears program forced a postponement. The same happened with Dec. 30’s matchup against Auburn and then again for Jan. 3 against Mississippi State.
The most important news to come from this rescheduling is that Kentucky is moving past its minor run-in with COVID-19. While the Auburn game was postponed due to issues with the Tigers, the MSU game was halted due to issues on Kentucky’s side. With three games now coming up over a span of seven days (including No. 1 South Carolina on the road), it would appear that UK is back to full health coronavirus-wise.
