Kentucky is wearing the Chrome Domes against LSU
They’re baaaaaaaaaaaack. Kentucky will wear the chrome dome helmets under the lights Saturday night at Kroger Field against LSU. The uniforms will not be a black out, but it’s close.
A week after rocking the traditional, all-blue uniforms in the win over Florida, the Cats will wear anthracite jerseys and pants vs. LSU. Designed by Nike, the anthracite color was inspired by the Commonwealth’s ties to the coal industry. UK embraced the coal theme, using the coal whistle on every opponent’s third down at Kroger Field.
Even if you aren’t the biggest fan of anthracite, the players apparently love them. Mark Stoops’ teams are 5-3 when wearing the grey, off-black uniforms.
