Kentucky Wildcats give back on Christmas
Christmas is a time of giving, and the Kentucky Wildcats are doing their part to do just that out in the community during the holiday season.
Members of the football team took a few families out on a shopping spree, with the tight ends, offensive linemen and their coaches picking out toys for Christmas. As for the parents, they got gift cards for some holiday meals.
Some of the toys left the Wildcats wanting to come back and purchase for themselves for Christmas — or maybe for their own parents to take a hint.
“Hey Mom, Merry Christmas,” lineman Quintin Wilson joked, immediately after finding a LEGO set he wanted.

As for the basketball team, the Wildcats spread some holiday cheer last weekend, bringing families into the team facilities for a meal, caroling and some gift-giving. Freshman guard Adou Thiero even dressed up as Santa for the kids in attendance.
As for the women’s basketball team, what do they want for Christmas? A few Wildcats shared their responses with the UK video team, with answers ranging from new shoes to tattoos to, well, ‘you.’
