It’s decided. No. 6 seed Kentucky will face No. 3 seed Kansas State on Sunday in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in Greensboro. Tip time will be announced later tonight. [UPDATE: The game will tip off at 2:40 PM ET on CBS]

You know how the Kentucky Wildcats got here, with a 61-53 win over Providence. The Kansas State Wildcats advanced with a 77-65 win over No. 14 Montana State. The winner of Sunday’s game will get a spot in the Sweet 16 in New York, where they’ll play either No. 7 Michigan State or No. 2 Marquette.

What do you need to know about the purple and white Wildcats? We’ll have a thorough preview for you tomorrow, but gone are the days of goofy Bruce Weber. Jerome Tang is in his first season as Kansas State’s head coach and has reenergized the Wildcats, leading them to a 24-9 record, 11-7 in the Big 12. Former Florida Gator Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell are their stars, scoring 18 and 17 points, respectively, tonight against Montana State. The Wildcats shot 58.2% from the floor and 26.7% (4-15) from three-point range while outrebounding the Bobcats 29-27. Kansas State had 48 points in the paint to Montana State’s 30.

One of the coaches and all of the players may be different, but Kentucky will finally get its chance to avenge the 2018 Sweet 16 loss to Kansas State. Bring it on.
