Kentucky will take on Oklahoma in the second round of the SEC Tournament

Kentucky‘s opponent has been finalized in Nashville — and it’s the underdog between No. 11 seed Georgia and No. 14 seed Oklahoma.
Entering the day as a 3.5-point favorite, the Bulldogs led by as many as six in the second half before the Sooners stormed back on a 16-0 run to push ahead by 10 before closing out the 81-75 win.
OU star Jeremiah Fears finished with a game-high 29 points on 8-16 shooting and 4-7 from three with five rebounds, three steals, two assists and five turnovers in 32 minutes. He was followed by Jalon Moore with 14 points on 4-5 from three with Mohamed Wague adding 12 points and nine rebounds.
Silas Demary Jr. scored 24 points while Asa Newell added 21 points and 17 rebounds for UGA.
As you likely remember fondly, Otega Oweh was a superstar in the first head-to-head matchup between the Wildcats and Sooners in Norman, the junior guard pouring in a career-high 28 points — including 23 in the second half and the final 18 overall. That ended with a go-ahead game-winner with 6.1 seconds left on the clock in the 83-82 win for Kentucky.

The former Sooner was showered with boos and made his old school pay.
“It’s a great feeling, coming to your old space and getting a win. I definitely heard the boos,” Oweh said postgame. “It was just cool, being a basketball player, getting that type of attention.”
Brandon Garrison added 12 points in that one while Koby Brea went for nine, Amari Williams went for eight and Andrew Carr, Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler went for seven. The Wildcats shot 50.0 percent overall, 30.4 percent from three and 75.0 percent at the line in the win.
Can Kentucky repeat the performance in Nashville? The Cats will definitely have the crowd on their side this time around.
Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 PM ET on Thursday, live on SEC Network.
