The Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex just doesn’t look as good when it’s empty. Now we know when Kentucky women’s soccer fans will be able to fill it back up in the coming months.

Head coach Troy Fabiano announced the program’s 2023 fall schedule on Friday, revealing dates, times and locations for the slate that includes two exhibitions, seven nonconference matches and ten SEC contests.

The Wildcats will take on Northern Kentucky (Aug. 5) and Marshall (Aug. 12) in early exhibition matches, followed by the regular season opener vs. Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 17.

From there, the Cats will then make their first road trip of the season to take on Murray State on Aug. 24, before returning home for the first of four-straight home matches, Aug. 27, vs. Valparaiso. The remainder of the season-long homestand will see Kentucky take on UT Martin (Aug. 31), Illinois (Sept. 3) and Belmont (Sept. 7).

The non-conference portion of the schedule comes to an end when the Wildcats travel to Ames, Iowa to face the Iowa State Cyclones, Sept. 10.

SEC play opens with UK on the road against Texas A&M on Sept. 15, with Kentucky then playing its first SEC home match of the season, Sept. 21, vs. South Carolina.

Other home matches in conference play include a showdown against the defending SEC Regular Season Champions, Alabama (Sept. 29), a meeting with Vanderbilt (Oct. 8), a clash with Mississippi State (Oct. 15) and the home finale against Missouri (Oct. 22).

Remaining 2023 SEC road opponents include: Florida (Sept. 24), Tennessee (Oct. 5), Georgia (Oct. 19) and Ole Miss (Oct. 26).

The 2023 SEC Soccer Tournament will be held, Oct. 29 – Nov. 5 in Pensacola, Fla.

In all, the Wildcats will play 12 times at the Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex, including seven of the team’s first eight matches. Television assignments for the 2023 season will be announced at a later date.
