Kentucky WR transfer Barion Brown signs with LSU
Barion Brown is headed to the Bayou.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Brown has officially signed with the LSU Tigers out of the transfer portal. After spending his first three college seasons at Kentucky, the former four-star high school recruit announced his intentions to transfer on Dec. 5. Brown also considered Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Florida State before choosing LSU.
During his time in Lexington, the Nashville native caught 122 passes for 1,528 yards and 11 touchdowns. Brown’s last season at Kentucky was his least productive, tallying only 29 receptions for 361 yards and three touchdowns, all of which were career-lows.
This past season, Brown was named a Second-Team All-SEC all-purpose back and a First-Team All-SEC return specialist. He returned a kickoff at Florida 99 yards for a touchdown. It was the fifth kickoff return touchdown in his career, the most in SEC history. He currently owns the school record for kick return average at 29.3 yards per return, which also makes him the active career FBS leader.
For those wondering, Kentucky does not have LSU on the schedule for the 2025 season.
