What uniforms will the Kentucky Wildcats be wearing in the season opener vs. Ball State on Saturday? Let Barion Brown tell you.

At the opening kickoff — one the sophomore superstar will probably run back for a touchdown — the Wildcats will be rocking Kentucky blue tops and lids to go with white pants and cleats. Brown modeled the gameday gear on Friday, sporting his new No. 7 jersey.

“Classic colorways to start,” the school wrote on social media.

The alternate logo is here to stay, featured on the shoulder pads — and replacing the blue and white checkerboards. And the font is different for both letters and numbers. As for the pants, those feature prominent blue and white stripes down the sides.

There’s not much left to say at this point. Mark Stoops said just that on Thursday during his final meeting with reporters ahead of the regular season.

“I don’t have much to say. You guys have listened to me quite a bit here through summer camp. Not much has changed,” Stoops said. “I think you all know that myself, our staff, and our team is ready to go play a game.”

It’s been the same head-to-head battles against teammates from spring to early fall. Now it’s time for the real thing.
