Former Kentucky commit Khalifa Keith transfers to Appalachian State
Khalifa Keith was a three-star tailback in the 2023 recruiting cycle that Kentucky targeted and quickly made a move on. Following a junior year at Birmingham (Ala.) Parker where Keith rushed for 1,877 yards and 28 touchdowns, Kentucky got the tailback on campus for an official visit in July and earned a commitment in July.
Unfortunately, some other SEC schools made a big push for Khalifa Keith during the 2022 season. That led to a flip to Tennessee. The tailback would spend two seasons playing for head coach Josh Heupel before entering the transfer portal. Now Keith will playing for a former SEC offensive coordinator in the Sun Belt.

Khalifa Keith will be a redshirt sophomore in 2025 with three years of eligibility remaining. South Carolina offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains was recently hired to replace Shawn Clark in Boone and is bringing an SEC transfer with him.
