Kentucky Transfer Portal Watch: Khyree Jackson visits
Kentucky addressed a position of need on Thursday when Cincinnati cornerback transfer JQ Hardaway committed to the Wildcats shortly after being hosted on campus. However, Kentucky is still looking for help at cornerback.
Alabama defensive back Khyree Jackson (6-3, 197) entered the transfer portal on Nov. 23 only to withdraw on Dec. 1 and then re-enter the portal. Since then, the former junior college transfer has received multiple offers and visited Oregon earlier this week. Kentucky was able to get the Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise product on campus this weekend.
The transfer went live on Instagram on Friday and revealed he was on campus at the University of Kentucky inside the Joe Craft Football Training Facility. Vanderbilt tailback transfer Ray Davis is also scheduled to be in town this weekend.
During his two seasons in Tuscaloosa, the East Mississippi CC transfer played just under 200 snaps recording 14 tackles and two pass breakups. The transfer played a career-high 59 snaps in the National Championship Game against Georgia to end the 2021 season.

Jackson appeared in nine games this season for the Tide and started in Week 2 against Texas, but was suspended by head coach Nick Saban in November. The transfer will be a redshirt senior in 2023.
Kentucky is still shopping for cornerbacks in the transfer portal as the Wildcats are looking to upgrade that position after the Music City Bowl when both Keidron Smith and Carrington Valentine leave the program for the NFL.
