Postseason honors continue to pile up for Kentucky football players. Darian Kinnard and Josh Paschal can add the prestigious title “All-American” to their respective resumes.

Wednesday morning CBS Sports unveiled its 2021 college football All-American teams. Kinnard earned a spot on the first team at offensive line, while Paschal was honored as a second team All-American on the defensive line. It’s almost as though the SEC SIDs were not paying attention when they put Paschal on the SEC’s second team.

Kinnard was only one of three power five offensive linemen that graded higher than 85 percent in both pass and run blocking. A two-time SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, the Knoxville native was a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award and the Outland Trophy. Kinnard led the team with 30 knockdown blocks and allowed only one quarterback sack in more than 350 pass plays. He also was a first team All-American selection by the Action Network.

Paschal was the third-highest graded EDGE defender in the country this year according to PFF, one spot higher than Alabama’s Will Anderson. The only three-time team captain in UK football history, his 15.5 tackles for loss ranked second in the SEC. Paschal also recorded 53 tackles, 5.5 sacks, a team-high eight quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a blocked field goal.
