Koby Brea invited to Green Room for second round of NBA Draft

Koby Brea will walk across the stage at the Barclays Center tonight.
Well, he has to get drafted first, but all signs point to that happening sooner rather than later during the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft, which begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. According to SNY’s Ian Begley, Brea will be one of the 11 players sitting in the Green Room waiting to hear their names called by NBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum.
The former Wildcat will be joined in the Green Room by some familiar faces, too. Arkansas’ Adou Thiero (another former ‘Cat), Auburn’s Johni Broome, and Florida’s Alijah Martin will be among the players also in attendance. Additionally, Bogoljub Marković, who was teammates last season with incoming Kentucky freshman Andrija Jelavić on KK Mega Basket, will be in the Green Room, as well.
With the new two-day draft format, the league has elected to change things up this year by hosting the second round back at the Barclays Center, which is where Wednesday night’s first round was held. Last year’s draft was the first time the NBA spread the draft out across two days since 1989. The first round in 2024 was also held at the Barclays Center, but round two was essentially set up in what appeared to be a small studio, not on the main stage.

The league learned from its mistakes in 2025. And as a result, Brea will walk across the stage tonight, put on the hat of his new team, and shake the deputy commissioner’s hand as he begins his professional career. Where should we expect to see him land? It could be as soon as the second round begins.
Following the conclusion of the first round on Wednesday, The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie mocked Brea to the Golden State Warriors at No. 41 overall. ESPN draft expert Jonathan Givony told KSR earlier this week that he could see Brea going in the 30s. There will be 29 more selections tonight — one of them is likely to be Brea (and hopefully Amari Williams, too).
