Kroger Field leaning toward requiring masks indoors and in crowded areas
The plan is to fill Kroger Field with 61,000 people this fall, but there will be additional masks requirements to help make it happen safely.
KSR’s Matt Jones tweeted on Sunday night that Kroger Field is “leaning towards requiring masks only indoors (including suite area) and in ‘crowded areas.'” This will include elevators, restrooms, and what will be defined as a “crowded area”. It will not, however, include individual suites.
UK Athletics announced all the way back in May that the expectation was to hold full capacity at Kroger Field for the upcoming 2021 football season for the Kentucky Wildcats. Rupp Arena is expected to do the same for the 2021-22 Kentucky Men’s Basketball season.

But as of right now, it does not appear as though masks will be required to be worn when sitting outside in the stadium.
Kentucky’s home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4, against Louisiana Monroe at noon on the SEC Network.
