Kroger KSR Game of the Week: Danville at Boyle County

Title Town here we come. The Kroger KSR Game of the Week will feature Danville at Boyle County. The Admirals and Rebels will face off in a heated rivalry game with year-long bragging rights on the line. 

4A Boyle County is coming off of back-to-back state championship seasons and has won ten titles in its storied history. Outside a week-two 35-28 loss to Lexington Christian, the 14-1 Rebels were dominant a year ago after outscoring their opponents 234-68. Coach Justin Haddix’s team is off to a perfect 2-0 start after beating Madison Consolidated (Indiana) 50-2 and Bryan Station 36-12

2A Danville is coached by Mark Peach and has captured eleven state championships. The Ads are also 2-0 on the season. The Ads are coming off an 8-5 season which was capped off by a 61-13 playoff loss to Lexington Christian. The 2022 Admirals defeated Lincoln County 26-14 in the opener and later beat Garrard County 36-0 in week two. 

Title Town is an accurate description of the Danville/Boyle County community. The two programs are historical KHSAA brands that have combined for 21 state championships. This rivalry game influences year-long discussions in the community. KSR will be there on Friday to cover all the action and report behind the scenes in one of Kentucky’s most celebrated rivalry games.
