Kroger KSR Game of the Week: Magoffin County at Breathitt County

There will be a sporting event in Jackson, Kentucky on Friday night. KSR will be there to cover the action. The gridiron matchup featuring Magoffin County at Breathitt County will be much more than a mere football game. As you know, Breathitt County was devastated by the recent flooding in Eastern Kentucky. Several lives were heartbreakingly lost. Many homes were destroyed and generations were impacted forever. Breathitt County will rebuild. There has been a tremendous outpouring of support and love from fellow Kentuckians in the past weeks. My hope is that it continues. 

That blessed community will be the scene of an emotional gathering of fans from both schools. Friday will signify just why high school football in Kentucky is so important. The game will be as much about Breathitt County’s resolve, love, and pride as it will be about go-routes and corner blitzes. 

I’m so incredibly blessed to be able to cross our great state covering high school football games thanks to our good friends at Kroger. Friday is going to be emotional for all involved. KSR will have a full breakdown of the game. We’ll discuss players and coaches and even get into some Xs and Os. However, the focus will be on the courageous and kind folks in Breathitt County. The Bobcat Nation will rebuild. We can’t lose focus in supporting our fellow Kentuckians.
