Raceland spreads carries around to multiple ball carriers. The same can be said about the pass catchers. Three Rams have recorded over 300 receiving yards and are led by Parker Fannin’s 419. Raceland’s defense is paced by Brayden Webb’s 49 tackles including three for loss and one QB sack. Three fellow Rams have registered 30+ tackles.
4-4 Paintsville has won back-to-back games against Fairview (44-0) and Betsy Lane (42-20). The Tigers are a traditional 1A power and are consistently a playoff contender with state title hopes. The Tigers are led by do-it-all athlete Harris Phelps’ 823 rush yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. QB Frederick James has thrown for 748 yards and seven scores. Two Tigers have over 200 receiving yards: Jonah Porter (269) and Austin Allen (204). Cain Grim is the team’s top tackler with 54 including one for loss.
We are excited to travel to a new part of the state on Friday night. Hope to see you at the game.
