Kroger’s KSR Game of the Week: Louisville Male at St. Xavier
This week’s Kroger KSR Game of the Week takes us to Louisville. Male will make the short trip to St. X on Friday in a rivalry game that pairs two of the commonwealth’s top teams. Friday’s matchup features multiple recruiting prospects and could serve as a preview for the 6A state championship.
Male is the state’s top-ranked team going into week three. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 49-0 win over Floyd Central, Indiana. It followed that up by beating Ballard 51-14. Male is winning its game by a 50-7 scoring margin and is considered the best team in Kentucky. The Bulldogs have won eight state championships and are primed to add to that total in 2021.

St. X has faced two powerhouse programs in the first two weeks of the season. The Tigers went on the road to top Owensboro 51-38 in an exciting week-one showdown. The Tigers defeated Central 30-6 last Friday. St. X sports twelve state titles and is poised for another run this season.
Friday’s Kroger KSR Game of the Week marks the first time the event has been hosted in Louisville. This week’s matchup highlights two traditional powers that will be vying for a trip to Kroger Field at the season’s end.
