KSR’s 2024-25 Kentucky High School Boys Basketball Top 25 Rankings: Week 1
It’s officially basketball season in the Bluegrass. Now that the state football championships have wrapped up and six new champions have been crowned, all eyes shift to the hardwood. The first week of Kentucky high school boys’ basketball brought plenty of excitement too.
That excitement translated to plenty of movement in KSR’s second Top 25 rankings update of the 2024-25 season. Great Crossing and Kentucky signee Malachi Moreno continue to hold down the top spot, but the rest of the Top 10 saw some reordering. Our biggest Top 25 riser this week was Hazard, which beat a Top 10 Ashland Blazer team and is off to a 3-0 start. The school that saw the biggest drop was Adair County, which lost 82-77 to Cumberland County last week. Three new teams broke into the backend of the Top 25, as well.
Check out the entirety of the updated Top 25 below.
