KSR’s 2024-25 Kentucky High School Boys Basketball Top 25 Rankings: Week 2
This past weekend was loaded with tournaments, classics, showcases — whatever you want to call these early-season events — all across the Bluegrass. Plenty of schools played games in back-to-back days and in some instances back-to-back-to-back. It resulted in a ton of movement in this week’s Top 25 rankings update.
Most notably, Great Crossing was knocked off the top spot following a 14-point loss to St. Xavier, which replaced the Warhawks at No. 1 in the state. 11 teams moved up or down at least five spots while four new schools jumped into the Top 25 after not being ranked last week. The likes of Newport and Butler County went from being among the Top 10 to being removed entirely from the rankings after taking some losses.
