KSR’s 2024-25 Kentucky High School Boys Basketball Top 25 Rankings: Week 3
The Christmas season brought plenty of holiday-themed tournaments and events over the last week, with some Kentucky high schools even traveling out of state for big-time matchups. It resulted in a significant change in KSR’s latest Top 25 rankings update.
Last week was a busy one for high school boys basketball across the state. Most of the Bluegrass’ top teams played 3-4 games over the seven-day stretch, some contests happening in back-to-back days. All that being said, the St. Xavier Tigers continue to look like the no-doubt top squad in the state of Kentucky. St. X rolled to a 3-0 week with wins over Lloyd Memorial, Woodford County, and Frederick Douglass — three teams all ranked among the Top 12 in our Week 3 update.

But there was plenty of movement elsewhere, including three schools making their debuts in the Top 25. The Ballard Bruins made the biggest jump, going from unranked to within the Top 10. Meanwhile, injuries continue to plague an Ashland Blazer team that is just barely hanging onto a Top 25 spot. Check out the entire list below.
