Only 24 teams remain as the Kentucky high school football semifinals have been set. Six teams are now just two wins away from claiming one of the state’s six championships.

With that comes a fresh batch of statewide rankings. And there was plenty of movement following an upset-filled third-round slate that notably saw top-ranked Boyle County bounced out of the Class 4A playoffs by Covington Catholic. For the first time all season, we have a new number one in our rankings. 19 of the remaining 24 teams in the playoffs make up KSR’s updated Top 25, along with one more receiving votes in the poll.

Below is the semifinal schedule for this Friday, along with our post-round three rankings update. Teams colored in red have been eliminated from the postseason. We also have class-by-class rankings for the remaining four teams from each class. Dive in below as we inch closer to crowning six champions at Kroger Field in less than a couple of weeks.
