Are you ready for some basketball? John Calipari’s Wildcats are back from Great Britain riding high after a win over Michigan. We’ll see if the Cats can turn that into some momentum when Kentucky hosts Yale at Rupp Arena. Tip-off is at 1 pm EST on the SEC Network.

The Bulldogs are 8-2 this season, arriving in Lexington fresh off a three-point loss at Colorado. Right now, Yale is the cream of the crop in the Ivy League. They’ve earned three straight NCAA Tournament bids and are the only program to win multiple Ivy League Tournament titles. The four-team tournament just began back in 2017.

Yale’s top dog is forward Matt Knowling. The 6-foot-6 wing averages a team-high 16.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. He is knocking down 64.6% of his shots, which ranks 17th in the country. Not too shabby.

It’s abundantly clear this is the best non-Power Five conference opponent Kentucky has played so far. Ranked No. 88 in KenPom, this team will not go quietly into the night. While most of the BBN has been distracted by an extra newsy football week, wake up. This one’s going to be a big one.

Liam Coen: Back

But not all the way back. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported Liam Coen will return to Kentucky as the Wildcats’ offensive coordinator, but he did not say when. Sean McVay met with reporters on Friday and it does not appear the move will become officially official until after the NFL regular season.

“We’ve talked about that being a possibility. I don’t think anything’s official yet… He’s going to do a great job finishing up the rest of this year. If that’s the direction that he chooses, then I know he’ll do an outstanding job there,” said McVay.

Even though it’s not a done deal, we can still discuss it at length. Freddie Maggard shared his thoughts, Adam Luckett laid out a gameplan for Coen and that’s just the beginning.

Vince Marrow: Still at Kentucky

Although there were a lot of people saying he was interested in what’s happening over at Louisville. In the middle of a pitstop to see PRP’s Jakob Dixon, multiple reports came out that Vince Marrow could be in the mix for a job on Jeff Brohm’s staff. He denied them, multiple times. Frankly, you could tell he was sick of it by the time he returned to Lexington for a big official visit weekend for the Kentucky football program.

Caleb Williams Wins the Heisman

Get ready for another Lincoln Riley quarterback to take home college football’s most prestigious piece of hardware. Remember when Mark Stoops tried to hire Riley as his offensive coordinator to replace Neal Brown? It was all coming together until Bob butted in and took him to Oklahoma. What could have been… If you want to watch an hour of fart sniffing in New York City, it all begins at 8 pm EST on ESPN.

Army vs. Navy

The Wildcats’ basketball game will end just in time for the 123rd edition of college football’s greatest game. Navy is a 2.5-point favorite over Army and the total is 32.5. The action at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia kicks off at 3 pm EST on CBS. This year Army will honor the 1st Armored Division, while the Navy salutes its 54 graduates who have become astronauts.
