KSR Happy Hour: Kentucky Basketball and Football Updates, Ponatoski Watch, July 4th

It’s Monday at 4 p.m., which means it’s time for another edition of KSR Happy Hour, the newest show on the KSR YouTube Channel; grab a cold one because it’s July 4th week and we’ve got plenty to talk about.
If this is your first time joining the Happy Hour, welcome! Each week, a rotating panel of KSR writers will recap the news of the day, preview the week ahead, and probably get way off topic, all while enjoying a delicious refreshment from Country Boy Brewing. Drew Franklin is out this week, so Nick Roush and Jack Pilgrim are joining me to talk about the latest in Kentucky Football and Basketball. Both are fresh off trips to Lexington, Jack to speak to Jaland Lowe and Reece Potter, and Nick to interview a football player for a very special feature coming out later this week.
We’ll talk about that, Jasper Johnson and Team USA’s run in the FIBA U19 World Cup; the football program’s hot streak on the recruiting trail, including the latest on four-star quarterback Matt Ponatoski as we await his college decision; and Nick’s trip to see the Savannah Bananas’ Party Animals play in Louisville this past weekend. July 4th is Friday, so you know we’ve got some patriotic content cooked up as well.
We’ll also be answering your questions and reading comments from the YouTube live chat, so join us to celebrate the end of the first day of the work week. Be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don’t miss any of our excellent content.
