KSR RoadTrip: Kentucky crushes LSU on Senior Night in Rupp Arena

It was a special night inside Rupp Arena as the Kentucky Wildcats crushed the LSU Tigers to close out the home schedule while also saying goodbye to six special seniors who decided to come along for the ride in Mark Pope’s first season in Lexington.
The night started with Ansley Almonor, Koby Brea, Lamont Butler, Andrew Carr, Jaxson Robinson and Amari Williams bursting through the paper hoop to celebrate their final game at Rupp Arena while singing My Old Kentucky Home with teammates, coaches and family. That was a tear-jerker, especially for Robinson — whose career in college basketball is unfortunately over after undergoing season-ending wrist surgery this week.
Then a game had to be played, the players with eligibility remaining actually stealing the show from the seniors as Otega Oweh (24), Brandon Garrison (15) and Collin Chandler (11) combined for 50 points as the Wildcats rolled to a 31-point win.
KSR’s Steven Peake captured all of the sights and sounds from that performance while also interviewing fans about their favorite players and moments from the season and Pope’s conversation with Big Blue Nation after the win — plus the seniors saying goodbye.

Oh, and Peake harassed the KSR writers hard at work, getting way too close with the camera and sharing a behind-the-scenes look at life covering a Kentucky basketball game.
