KSR Show, 2/17: A replay episode of the day Mark Pope was announced as UK's coach
KSR has today off to celebrate Presidents’ Day, per Ryan Lemond’s request. In place of a live show, Billy R. Sports dug up a replay episode from the archives. Billy went back to April for the show on the morning after news broke that Kentucky was hiring Mark Pope. It was a Friday and KSR had a large audience at a remote to react to the surprising news of Pope. The fan reaction took a turn when Mitch Barnhart called in to explain the decision.
You can’t call in today and talk to an old show. Still, tune in to go back in time for those first conversations about Pope taking the job in Lexington. If only we all knew what we know now. That Sunday press conference hadn’t even happened yet. In fact, it was announced on the show that KSR is replaying today.
