Doors open at 7 a.m. on Thursday for KSR's SEC Tournament show at Tin Roof

It’s that time of year, Big Blue Nation- like Christmas, but even better. It’s the SEC Tournament, and Kentucky Basketball fans began the takeover early Wednesday morning. By tomorrow, Broadway will be mostly Big Blue, beginning with KSR’s annual show at Tin Roof.

Doors will open for my favorite show of the year at 7 a.m. central, much earlier than Tin Roof is used to opening. KSR starts at 9 a.m. central, with another packed house expected for the early-morning fun at the SEC Tournament.

Arrive early if you hope to land a seat, and be kind to the bar staff who probably won’t get much sleep. Tin Roof has been a great host for KSR’s SEC Tournament shows for many years, and we expect Friday to be another great one before Kentucky tips off in a second-round game late Thursday night.

Here are a few other scheduling notes, because many will ask:

• Thursday’s pregame show will not be at Tin Roof. The KSR crew will be somewhere downtown two and a half hours before tip-off, but it will not be a public show unless you stumble into it. (Please don’t literally stumble into it if you’re day-drinking.)
• Shannon The Dude will be at Tin Roof before the game. His band, Alice Blue Gown, is scheduled to play a four-hour gig leading up to the game, beginning at 4:30. Ryan Lemond will make an appearance before his KSR Pregame Show obligations.
• The locations for Friday’s morning show and any other pregame shows are still TBD. Follow @KSRTHESHOW on X for any updates on shows in Nashville.
