Good morning and good Monday, Kentucky Sports Radio readers. You know what week it is. It is Tennessee Week. The bye week is behind us. The Blue-White Game, too. Today, it’s all about getting back to work, regrouping and refocusing as Kentucky Football starts Week 9 of its college football season, needing a win to snap out of a two-game funk. The Vols come to town ranked and favored over the Wildcats before a 7 p.m. kickoff in Kroger Field. Let’s get you ready for rivalry week in Lexington.
Beat the Vols.
Monday with Mark
NOON PRESS CONFERENCE
Kentucky Football returns to its regular routine this week, beginning with Mark Stoops and the Monday afternoon press conference on campus. Stoops will take his seat behind the Kroger Field microphone at 12 o’clock to answer questions about the status of his team coming out of the bye week and the challenge ahead in hosting No. 21 Tennessee.
CALL-IN SHOW
Then, later tonight, Stoops and the Voice of the Wildcats, Tom Leach, will sit down for Stoops’ weekly call-in radio show. Stoops and Leach will be live on the UK Sports Network airwaves from 6-7 p.m. ET on WLAP 630 in Lexington or the state’s UK Sports Network affiliates.
KSR will cover both of those conversations for you, KSR readers.
New KSR Football Podcast
After we hear from Mark Stoops, the KSR Football Podcast will go live at 8 p.m. with a brand new episode. Nick Roush, Drew Franklin, Adam Luckett, and Freddie Maggard will get back into football mode with an early preview of the Tennessee game and more.
You can find the new episode on KSR’s YouTube when it goes live or consume the audio-only version of KSR’s podcasts on Apple and Spotify.
Kentucky getting 3.5 points against the Vols
Though Tennessee played well at Alabama early in last Saturday’s game, the Vols’ most recent performance in Tuscaloosa did not impact the betting line for Kentucky-Tennessee. The current point spread still matches the early spread at 3.5 points, with Tennessee the favorite.
The total on the game is 50.5.
