Here on KSR’s website, I’ll share some of that news with you before I get on the road to lovely Garrard County. We’ll start with what is ahead later today as Kentucky prepares to host Arkansas in Rupp Arena in the second-to-last home contest on the schedule. The spread on that game will drop later today—first, a conversation with two of the star freshmen.
DJ Wagner and Zvonimir Ivisic preview Arkansas
On campus, DJ Wagner and Zvonimir Ivisic will hold a press conference later today to preview their Saturday game against Arkansas. Kentucky’s starting point guard and fan-favorite Croatian will take questions about the Razorbacks and more on the eve of their next game. KSR will be part of those conversations, so check back here for the video and their comments about the game.
Eric Musselman’s comments on the game
Yesterday, Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman took questions in Fayetteville before his team’s flight to Lexington. Before the current trip, Arkansas won its last two in Rupp Arena. However, Musselman said on Thursday, “What those two teams did in the past went in with confidence, went in with toughness. They went in there with grit, they went in there with belief, so hopefully this year’s team can carry some of those characteristics into the game.
“If you don’t have those characteristics, it’s going to be hard to win in Rupp, but certainly going into those games, that was how those 40 minutes unfolded when we were able to have success there.”

Kentucky Women’s Basketball lost another one
Things keep getting worse for Kentucky Women’s Basketball. Last night, the Wildcats played their regular season finale in Rupp Arena, hosting Ole Miss in downtown Lexington. It did not go well. The Rebels took the lead right away and never looked back, winning 75-45 without ever trailing. The night included a 17-0 run in the third quarter to put the game far out of reach before the fourth. For Kentucky, Saniah Tyler and Amiya Jenkins had team-highs, each with 10 points. Kentucky dropped to 4-11 in the SEC with the loss.

John Wall’s new podcast with DeMarcus Cousins
On Thursday, John Wall dropped the first episode of his new podcast, Point Game, with special guest DeMarcus Cousins as his first interview and. it. is. awesome. Two of the three Amigos from Calipari’s first Kentucky team spend an hour telling old stories from their days in Lexington that they’ve never told before, things like the night Wall stole Cousins’ dance at Big Blue Madness and the time Wall told Cousins he was committing to Duke instead of Kentucky. Two of our all-time favorite Wildcats really took us back in time with this one:

At the same time, Ray Davis, Tayvion Robinson, Devin Leary, Jeremy Flax, and Trevin Wallace will try to impress the scouts in other stages of the combine. KSR will have coverage of all of them from Indy.
