Good morning, folks! It’s another beautiful summer morning here in central Kentucky. We’ve got a few items to touch on as we get our Wednesday rolling. No need to delay it any further — let’s jump right in.

Football ‘Cats talk fall camp offense

The 2025 season opener is less than a month away for the Kentucky football program. Fall camp is fully underway over at the Joe Craft Center Training Facility. Following Tuesday’s practice, members of the offense spoke with reporters to discuss embracing the challenge, rebuilding the Big Blue Wall back to form, and much more.

Dive into the video below to hear from offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan, wide receivers coach L’Damian Washington, tight end Willie Rodriguez, and offensive lineman Jalen Farmer. We’ll hear from the guys again following Thursday’s practice.

Lexington Eastern knocked out of LLWS

Representing Kentucky in the Little League World Series, Lexington Eastern caught everyone’s attention with a walk-off win over Indiana earlier this week. The boys were in action again yesterday with a shot at the Great Lakes Regional Final (which would have put them one win away from the Championship Round) on the line. But Illinois came out on top 5-2, advancing in the regional and knocking Lexington Eastern out of the field for good.

It’ll now be a battle between Ohio and Illinois this evening in the Great Lakes Regional Final. First pitch on ESPN is set for 7:00 p.m. ET. A Kentucky-based team hasn’t made the Little League World Series since Bowling Green’s Eastern LL in 2019.

Kentucky WBB’s 2026 SEC schedule

The complete 2025-26 Kentucky women’s basketball schedule is slowly coming together. Dates were revealed Tuesday for all of the Wildcats’ SEC opponents — and it’s not going to be an easy stretch. Just look at the team rankings from ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25. Kentucky is still expected to add several more non-conference games to the schedule in the coming weeks, too.

CBS Sports is not high on Kentucky football

Kentucky didn’t receive a single vote in the preseason Coaches Top 25 poll released earlier this week. The folks over at CBS Sports weren’t any kinder, ranking the ‘Cats 57th out of all 136 FBS teams going into 2025. Mississippi State (No. 70) is the only SEC team below Kentucky, and the Bulldogs are actually one spot lower than UK’s season-opening opponent, Toledo, which checks in at No. 69. Below is where CBS Sports ranked all of Kentucky’s 2025 opponents.

Have you seen Netflix‘s SEC Football: Any Given Saturday yet?

If you’re a Kentucky football fan, it’s probably best that you don’t. The documentary didn’t exactly shine a positive light on the Wildcats’ 2024 season (which finished with a 4-8 record). They didn’t catch any of the good moments, but they made sure to snag more than enough of the worst. The losses to South Carolina (31-6), Florida (48-20), and Louisville (41-14) were highlights throughout the episodes. Not fun!

But there were still some good moments on the Kentucky side. You can find out for yourself by tuning in on Netflix or by reading over a full recap from KSR’s Jack Pilgrim.
