Good morning and happy Friday to you and your family. We are one workday from the weekend, and it will be a wild one in the world of sports. It begins with more Denver-Miami in the Association tonight, Kentucky Baseball in the Supers tomorrow afternoon, and summer roster-building in Lexington for basketball and football.

Let’s get you ready.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight

The weekend will begin with Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight in Miami, where the Heat’s backs are against the wall in the series. Jamal Murray‘s Nuggets lead 2-1 going into tonight, and the Heat can’t go down another game before leaving South Beach for Game 5 in Colorado. Bam Adebayo and company must tie the series tonight for a realistic shot at the Larry O’Brien.

Tip-off is 8:30 p.m. on ABC. Denver is a 3.5-point favorite. Tyler Herro will not play.

Matt Jones on Kentucky Basketball’s current problems

Yesterday, Matt Jones shared what he believes are the major issues surrounding Kentucky Basketball as John Calipari scrambles to fill his roster with what’s left in the pool of available talent.

“This program in the last few months, has been in complete disarray,” said Jones. “Nobody knows what’s going to happen next, including the coaches. It has been in disarray and anybody that says otherwise, it’s just wrong.”

Jones also named broken relationships with boosters, the current mismanagement of the roster, and how it’s just not fun, as problems around the program.

Joey Hart to visit Kentucky tomorrow

Part of John Calipari’s new plan to fix Kentucky’s issues is to land a commitment from Joey Hart, a three-star talent from across the river in Indiana. The former UCF commit is set to begin his Kentucky visit on Saturday, following a visit to Indiana earlier in the week.

A big weekend for Kentucky Football

Kentucky Football‘s summer camp season has been off to a great start at Kroger Field this week. It gets serious today with the beginning of a busy weekend of official visits on campus. Kentucky expects a long list of special visitors, including current commits Cutter Boley (QB), Aba Selm (IOL), and our pal Hayes Johnson (OT), plus some of the top targets on the board in Jonathan Daniels (OT), Jacob Smith (EDGE), Brian Robinson (EDGE), Cameron Keys (CB), Damarion Witten (TE), Antwan Smith (EDGE), Willie Rodriguez (TE), Cam Dooley (ATH), and Fred Johnson (OT), among others. There could be some surprise guests in town, too.

The hope is to get a commitment or two, maybe three, to join the 2024 recruiting class in Lexington.
