KSR Today: Halloween Express Pat Kelsey hijacked our Monday discussion with his cosplay

I hope you’re doing better than me this Monday morning because my routine is all thrown off due to Louisville Basketball. I’m a mess right now, way behind my a.m. schedule after seeing the Cards’ new transfer portal video. The video dropped online late Sunday night, but I had already unplugged for the evening, so I woke up to it today. Unfortunately, one of the first things my eyeballs saw on the morning of July 8, 2024, was Halloween Express Pat Kelsey doing Marvel cosplay on UofL’s dime. I can’t get that time back.

I can’t stop laughing, either. This image will live in my head until Pat Kelsey wins a national championship or lands on the moon. Both are extremely unlikely, although he’s dressed for the latter.

Again, I watched all three minutes of this before my Monday morning coffee. My brain wasn’t ready to see Peyton Siva and Luke Hancock in a mission control center. Those two guys deserve better. This is the worst thing they’ve been a part of as Louisville basketball players, and this time, they can’t pretend that they didn’t know what was going on in the other room.

I should get started on my work because I’m up against that Monday morning deadline. I need to write the latest news and views about the Kentucky Wildcats, as I have been assigned, but I can’t focus on my job with, “Alright, y’all, let’s go get some dudes,” ringing in my head. “We lost all communication with PK!”

OK, we should move on.

Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham debut later this week

UK’s two first-round picks will debut with their respective teams at the Las Vegas Summer League later this week. Reed Sheppard‘s Houston Rockets and Rob Dillingham‘s Minnesota Timberwolves will go back-to-back at the Thomas & Mack Center on Friday night. Minnesota plays the New Orleans Pelicans, featuring UK’s other draft pick, second-rounder Antonio Reeves. Rob vs. Reeves tips at 5:00 p.m. ET, followed by Reed vs. the Lakers at 7:30 p.m. ET.

In case you missed it, I have some serious concerns about College Football 25.
