KSR Today: Kentucky Basketball Roster Madness, Spring Football Ending, Titan Up...

Good morning to you and all KSR readers like you who are here reading these words on a Monday. I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday with family, enjoyed The Masters, and saw the new episode of “Succession” before hearing about it elsewhere. It was intense.
Moving into the new work week, we have the Kentucky Basketball Roster Tracker going wild and the end of spring football coming later this week with a conversation with Mark Stoops on campus. But for now, let’s recap all the action from the weekend and what’s ahead today, including the return of the KSR morning radio show from a week off.
Ugonna Onyenso now considering a return
According to KSR’s own Jack Pilgrim and his Rolodex of sources, Kentucky’s Ugonna Onyenso may have had a change of heart regarding his college basketball future. Onyenso entered the transfer portal five days ago, but there are whispers the decision was beyond his control, and he is now pushing his “camp” to stay put in Lexington where he feels he belongs (and did very well in NIL last season playing seven minutes per game.)
Yesterday, Jack detailed the entire situation and how sometimes college basketball can get messy with handlers. The situation reads like Onyenso wants to be a Wildcat and never wanted to leave in the first place, which may very well end up being the case if the portal fails to meet any demands.
The final decision will come soon, maybe this week.
Oscar Tshiebwe isn’t completely gone just yet
Last Friday, Oscar Tshiebwe announced he will test the NBA Draft waters, as expected. It’s long been presumed that Tshiebwe will pursue a professional career, but in the last couple of days, there’s at least a slight buzz around the program suggesting Tshiebwe could… dare we say… come back?
A crazy thought not long ago, now he is at least considering one more year in Lexington. “It’s not entirely out of the question,” writes Kyle Tucker. ESPN’s Seth Greenberg thinks it’ll happen.
Wouldn’t that be wild? And complicated.
Will Levis to visit with the Tennessee Titans tomorrow
One former Kentucky Wildcat who is absolutely sticking with his decision to turn pro is Will Levis, a projected first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Levis is a hot name on draft boards and today Tom Pelissero reports Levis is heading to Nashville tomorrow for a visit with the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans have the No. 11 pick but new GM Ran Carthon is open to moving up in the order if he feels it is necessary to get a franchise QB. Tomorrow, the Titans will further explore Levis as the QB.

Titan Up!
Kentucky Baseball dropped its first SEC series, heads to Louisville tomorrow
Not far from the roars at Augusta, Kentucky Baseball struggled through its series at Georgia, losing both games of a Sunday doubleheader to drop the series in Athens. It was the first time the Wildcats lost a complete SEC series this season.
With the losses, Kentucky dropped to 9-3 in the conference and will likely slip from that No. 1 overall ranking in the RPI. But now’s not the time to revert because Kentucky heads to No. 18 Louisville tomorrow night for a Tuesday night rivalry game at Jim Patterson Stadium.
The first pitch is at 7 p.m. You can follow along on the ACC Network.

Kentucky Softball lost on Easter, too
Easter Sunday was also unkind to 16th-ranked Kentucky Softball as Rachel Lawson’s Wildcats lost their game at Ole Miss, 9-3. However, Kentucky already clinched the series with back-to-back wins Friday and Saturday.
Bellarmine is up next on the schedule at 4 p.m. Wednesday, then Tennessee comes to Lexington for a weekend series.

Finally, it’s a full house on KSR again
We have lots to say on today’s two-hour edition of KSR’s morning radio show, and the whole crew is back from vacation today for the conversation. So please, if you will, tune in from 10 a.m. to noon for our thoughts on Kentucky Basketball’s roster construction and all that happened since we last talked.
