It’s a big day for football fans across the BBN. Today Mark Stoops is opening his doors to the media, which means a KSR army will be attending spring practice to share with the world what the Cats have cooked up for next week’s Blue-White Game.

It’s currently a brisk 31 degrees at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility. It may be chilly outside, but the coffee is hot and we’re fired up to talk ball. Once practice ends and a brief embargo period is lifted, we’ll have everything you need to know from spring practice. Kentucky Football Fans, Don’t Geek.

Two Cats in the McDonald’s All-American Game

Tonight Chris Livingston and Cason Wallace take center stage when the McDonald’s All-American Game returns to Chicago at Wintrust Arena. Livingston learned what it takes to succeed at Kentucky during his time at Oak Hill Academy. Unfortunately, he did not figure out how to appease judges, even though he threw down a few pretty sick slams at the Powerade Jam Fest.

The action on the hardwood begins with the girls’ game at 6:30 pm ET on ESPN2, followed by the boys at 9 pm ET on ESPN.

Women’s Final Four Set

UConn clinched its 14th straight Final Four berth in dramatic fashion. Playing in the first ever double overtime game in Elite Eight history, Paige Bueckers scored 15 points in the extra periods to push the Huskies past NC State 91-87. A back and forth affair in Bridgeprt, NC State never gave up, even in the most dire moments. UConn was ultimately too much to handle.

UConn advances to play the defending champs in Minneapolis. Stanford is back in the Final Four with one of KSR’s finest, Wilder Treadway, working the sideline as the Cardinal’s SID. In the other game South Carolina will play Louisville. The Cards punched their ticket with a win over Michigan, Jeff Walz’s fourth trip to the Final Four.

SGA Calls is a Season

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could not turn a five-year, $172 million extension this offseason into a full season for Oklahoma City. The former Wildcat missed the last eight games with ankle soreness. Scraping the bottom of the Western Conference barrel, the Thunder decided it was best to shut down their star point guard for the final two weeks of the regular season. He finished the year averaging 24.5 points, five rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.3 steals, all career-highs.

Cats on the Diamond

The Kentucky softball and baseball team are both playing in front of home fans this evening. The action begins at 6 pm ET when Ohio State takes on Rachel Lawson’s eighth-ranked UK softball team at John Cropp Stadium. Right down the road at Kentucky Proud Park, the Bat Cats are trying to build some momentum from the series win over Georgia by taking down EKU. If Nick Mingione’s team secures a W, it will be the 2,000th win in school history. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm ET.

I Need Your Help

Monday hit hard at the Roush house. While unloading groceries, my two-year-old son snuck out of the house/backyard. Distracted, I plopped a grocery bag down onto the stovetop and turned on the burner. Luckily, only two biscuit canisters and a bottle of chocolate syrup suffered fatalities. Unfortunately, my hands still smell like burnt plastic and the combination of baking soda and vinegar only removed so much of the burnt plastic. Any tips or advice on how to remove it all? Please, open up in the comment section or send it my way. Monday was not my day, but we’re turning it around right now.
