High school football in the state of Kentucky is officially underway. Week 1 of the 2023 season kicked off over the weekend, which means we’ve got updated statewide rankings following all of the action.

It was a thrilling two-day stretch of games, highlighted by a pair of top 15 teams going head-to-head in the first Kroger KSR Game of the Week of the year. No. 13 Lexington Christian Academy and UK commit Cutter Boley went down to Western Kentucky University and won a barnburner over No. 7 Bowling Green, 56-52. As a result, LCA, which takes on top-ranked Boyle County this weekend, was bumped into the top 10 while Bowling Green dropped down several spots.
