Round one of the Kentucky high school football playoffs is in the books. This week’s KSR Top 25 rankings remain unchanged after a first round filled with blowouts and a couple of forfeits. The highlight of the week was Dixie Heights picking up a surprisingly easy 60-14 road win against Woodford County in the Kroger KSR Game of the Week.

The competition will begin to heat up this week with second-round action. Before we dive into the rankings, here are my top games around the state to look forward to this week. The Kroger KSR Game of the Week is headed to Hart County to watch the No. 22-ranked Raiders host Glasgow on Friday.

Class A

  • Paris @ Sayre
  • Bethlehem @ Kentucky Country Day

Class 3A

  • Franklin Simpson @ Union County
  • Glasgow @ #22 Hart County (Kroger KSR Game of the Week)

There is no set bracket. After this week’s Round of 16 games, the KHSAA will re-bracket the quarterfinals based on geography and RPI, and will re-bracket again for the semifinals based on RPI. The final RPI numbers, which are locked in and will not change, can be found here.
