THUMBNAILS - Rapid Reaction

First, it was Andrija Jelavic announcing his surprise commitment to Kentucky, the Croatian big man picking the Cats early Saturday afternoon. Suiting up for KK Mega Basket Club, the 6-11 forward averaged double figures in back-to-back seasons, including 10.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest this past year. Turning 21 years old next month, Mark Pope added experienced youth for 2025-26, if that makes sense — kind of like Collin Chandler this past season as an older freshman.

That was Boom No. 1 for Cody Fueger.

Then came Boom No. 2, Brandon Garrison announcing his return for a junior campaign in college and year two in Lexington, running it back with the Wildcats to create one of the best frontcourts in the nation. Worried about Jelavic potentially pushing him out? No problem — he’s now confirmed he’s back.
