Kentucky dodged a three-game losing streak in Rupp Arena by handling its business at home against South Carolina on Saturday. The Wildcats returned Lamont Butler to the starting lineup, which drew a huge roar from the crowd in the pregame introductions. From there, Butler’s return sparked Kentucky’s struggling defense, holding the Gamecocks to only 57 points in the Cats’ 80-57 win.

A balanced scoring attack provided the offense, led by Otega Oweh with 17 points, another double-digit game for him. Brandon Garrison (15), Koby Brea (10) and Amari Williams (10) also joined Oweh in double figures as Kentucky shot 48.4% from the field and 34.8% from 3.
