Vanderbilt is one of the hottest teams in the SEC right now with Liam Robbins playing some of the best individual basketball since he came back. Still, Kentucky may be hotter coming off the 32-point win against Auburn. I think the Rupp Arena fun from Saturday continues for one last run at home in 2022-23. It won’t be the blowout we saw last weekend, but Kentucky will still cover the 10 points for a win we don’t have to sweat out.

Score Prediction: Kentucky 79, Vanderbilt 65

Tonight’s game scares me a little more than it probably should, but that’s probably just because I’m still processing this team’s remarkable turnaround. Liam Robbins could be a problem and Vanderbilt usually plays Kentucky well in Rupp, but I think the Cats will ultimately take care of business, winning by a comfortable margin. In what is probably his final game at Rupp Arena, Oscar goes off for yet another double-double and exists the floor to one of the loudest ovations we’ve heard in years.

Score Prediction: Kentucky 75, Vanderbilt 66
Kentucky’s MVP: Oscar Tshiebwe
Oscar Tshiebwe O/U 11.5 rebs.: Over
Oscar Tshiebwe O/U 18.5 pts.: Over

Kentucky’s largest lead O/U 15.5 pts.: Under
Vanderbilt’s largest lead O/U 4.5 pts: Under
Will any player cry during the Senior Night ceremony?: If anyone does, it’ll be Oscar, but I’m going misty eyes, no actual tears.

Even with Liam Robbins back in the fold, I still like Kentucky’s chances in this one. While I believe Vanderbilt will keep it close and it wouldn’t shock me to see the ‘Dores take an early lead with minds still on Senior Night festivities, Kentucky just has too much firepower. CJ Fredrick is back to help steal some minutes from the backcourt, which should give Cason Wallace and Antonio Reeves just enough of a break to keep them from getting too exhausted. Robbins might get the better of Oscar Tshiebwe, but Kentucky will receive plenty of help from the rest of the rotation to pull out a fifth straight win.

Score Prediction: Kentucky 78, Vanderbilt 71

Vanderbilt is one of the hottest teams in the SEC, winning six of its last seven games and emerging as one of the most efficient offenses in all of college basketball as of late… But Kentucky is hotter and more efficient.

Liam Robbins has been terrific, averaging 22 and 10 over the last seven, but Oscar Tshiebwe is Oscar Tshiebwe — and he’s playing his last game inside Rupp Arena. I expect a great battle between the two, one the Kentucky star center will win. I really like where the Wildcats’ mentality is right now, playing their best basketball of the season. Don’t see that changing tonight.

This is a dangerous, dangerous game. Kentucky might be on upset alert.

Despite a blowout win in the previous meeting this season, the Cats have had some issues with Vandy since Jerry Stackhouse arrived in Nashville. Kentucky usually finds a way in this matchup, but expect this one to come down to the wire.

Both teams have turned the corner in the last month being led by strong offensive play. We could get a sneaky good game in Rupp Arena on Wednesday.
