2023 top-five prospect Kwame Evans Jr. schedules official visit to Kentucky

Another weekend, another top-five prospect on Kentucky’s campus. According to Joe Tipton, five-star forward Kwame Evans Jr. will take an official visit to Kentucky this weekend. The 6’9″ 200 lbs. Baltimore native is No. 4 in On3’s 2023 recruiting rankings and plays for Montverde Academy in Florida alongside current Kentucky commit Skyy Clark. So far, Evans has offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgetown, Indiana, LSU, Memphis, Ohio State, and Tennessee, among others.
This past weekend, five-star small forward Mookie Cook took his official visit to Kentucky, picking up a scholarship offer in the process. Cook is the eighth player in the 2023 class to receive an offer from John Calipari:
- Robert Dillingham (PG)
- Elijah Fisher (SG)
- Mackenzie Mgbako (SF)
- Mookie Cook (SF)
- JJ Taylor (SF)
- Jalen Lewis (C) – Professional (Overtime Elite)
- DJ Wagner (CG)
- Reed Sheppard (CG)
I’d say there’s a pretty good chance Evans will join that list soon. In the meantime, let’s watch him work.
