There will not be any late surprises ahead of tip-off in Austin — Kentucky knows exactly what it will (and will not) have against Texas.

Mark Pope was not optimistic about Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson suiting up anytime soon when previewing the Longhorns on Thursday and his hunch proved to be correct as both players have been ruled out in the initial availability report released Friday.

Kerr Kriisa remains out with a broken foot for the Wildcats, putting three players on the report with just nine available in Austin.

Butler missed three games with a shoulder injury before returning vs. South Carolina and Tennessee, then re-aggravated the issue with 8:40 to go against the Volunteers. Robinson, suffering a wrist injury ahead of the game against the Gamecocks, played in that one, but left multiple times in clear pain. He was then ruled out against UT.

Down to just four scholarship guards, Kentucky will roll out a by-committee ball-handling group of Travis Perry, Otega Oweh, Koby Brea, Collin Chandler and Amari Williams.

For Texas, Chendall Weaver has been declared out while standout Arthur Kaluma is being listed as doubtful — a fairly substantial development going into the matchup as the Kansas State transfer is the Longhorns’ second-leading scorer. Devon Pryor is probable.

The new SEC policy states that players must be listed as “out” (0% chance to play), “doubtful” (25% chance to play), “questionable” (50% chance to play), or “probable” (75% chance to play) in reports prior to game days. On the final report, players will be designated as “available,” “game-time decision” or “out” in an effort to provide additional clarity.
