Good news and bad news, Big Blue Nation.
Let’s start with the good news. Kentucky’s starting point guard will be AVAILABLE to play during today’s game against South Carolina. After Lamont Butler was listed as questionable last night, the SEC’s updated Availability Report from this morning removed his name entirely. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported earlier this morning that Butler would be a “genuine game-time decision”. But it looks like he’ll finally give it a go against the Gamecocks after missing the Wildcats’ last three games.
As for the bad news, Jaxson Robinson, who was also questionable as of Friday night, is still on the Availability Report as a game-time decision. Thamel reported this morning Robinson would also be a genuine game-time decision after suffering a wrist injury during Friday’s practice. There is reportedly no fracture, but Robinson has limited movement in his wrist. It’s unknown if the injury is to the wrist on his shooting hand.

Backup point guard Kerr Kriisa also remains out after suffering a foot fracture on Dec. 7 against Gonzaga. There is no timetable for his return. For South Carolina, forward Myles Stute, who has not played since Jan. 4, has also been ruled out.
Kentucky and South Carolina will tip off at noon EST on Saturday inside Rupp Arena on ESPN2.
