Lamont Butler, Jaxson Robinson are AVAILABLE vs. Oklahoma

For the first time since the South Carolina game on Feb. 8, the band is back together. Neither Lamont Butler (shoulder) nor Jaxson Robinson (wrist) is on the final SEC Availability Report for the Oklahoma game, meaning they are available to play tonight. Kerr Kriisa (foot) remains out.
Last night, both Butler and Robinson were listed as probable, meaning there was a 75% chance they could play. Butler has missed eight games this season, three straight since re-aggravating his shoulder in the Tennessee game on Feb. 11. Robinson has missed four straight games since injuring his wrist in practice the day before the Tennessee game. Without the two starters, Kentucky has gone 1-2, losing at Texas and Alabama and beating Vanderbilt at home.

We first got an inkling of the good news when Mark Pope said on his radio show on Monday that both Butler and Robinson had returned to practice in a modified capacity.
“Lamont and Jaxson were both in practice — they had modified practice, which is a good thing,” Pope said. “Kind of every day right now, it’s just — we know something from today about how much of the practice they were able to get through. With both of them, we’re going to know so much more in the morning, because it’s just, ‘How’s Jaxson’s wrist responding? How is Lamont’s shoulder responding?’”

We’ll hear more from Pope about 30 minutes before tipoff during his pregame conversation with Tom Leach, but I expect both Butler and Robinson will be operating on limited minutes today as they ease their way back into action. With four games left to go, it’s time to start knocking the rust off and get ready for the postseason.
